  1. Hi

I have recently moved back to Geraldton. I am impressed with those that have been motivated to set up ride share.

As a transient town, I am aware there are many commuters from Geraldton to Perth and subsequently many half empty cars going up and down the highway.

When I was last here there would be an occassional email from those in the hospital to notify of
Perth trips but nothing consistent. Often you would return from a weekend in Perth to find that others had also gone and the ride could have been shared.

Having been in Europe, and an avid use of rideshare.co.uk, I am stoked that the Wild West has a similar initiative. Not only does ride sharing save on emissions and fuel money, it is a great way to meet people in the community you may not always have contact with… subsequently a sharing of philosophy (car talk), tolerance (e.g. music tastes) and human kidness (e.g car snacks).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to notify the Backpackers in town if it has not been done already.

I look forward to the future developments ie. local trips (e.g. surf breaks, events).. car pooling to work & sports and activities.

    Thanks pickup pal organiser(s.)
